Here are some programs helpful to our transgender population.
GLSEN Greater Cincinnati:
A grassroots initiative working to ensure safe schools for all students, regardless of sexual orientation and gender identity. They support students and educators locally and organize around LGBTQ-affirming public policy.
PFLAG Cincinnati:
A non-profit organization offering support for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and intersex individuals, families, and friends in a safe and caring environment.
Lighthouse Youth & Family Services:
This organization empowers young people and families to succeed through a continuum of care that promotes healing and growth. They work to prevent and end LGBTQ youth homelessness in Hamilton County, Ohio.
The Trevor Project: Offers accredited life-saving, life-affirming programs and services to LGBTQ youth, creating safe, accepting, and inclusive environments over the phone, online, and through text.
Heartland Trans Wellness:
A Cincinnati-based collaborative working to create community through support groups and community events. They host monthly peer support groups for the trans community and allies.
CrossPort:
A not-for-profit social support organization serving transgender individuals in the Greater Cincinnati area, including partners, families, friends, and other allies.
Living With Change:
Supports transgender youth and their families in their journey, envisioning a community where transgender youth are valued, thriving, and fully integrated as equitable members.
Transform Cincy:
Provides free wardrobes for transgender and gender non-conforming youth, helping them feel comfortable and joyful in their own skin. They also offer community groups and social events for all LGBTQ+ folk
